ACAR / Aluminum Conductor Aluminum Alloy Reinforced
Introduction:
Bare wires refer to products with only conductors and no insulation, including copper, aluminum and other metals and composite metal round single wires, stranded wires, flexible wiring, shaped wires and profiles for overhead transmission lines of various structures.
Bare wires are the most basic category of wire and cable products. Some products of bare wires can be used as conductive wires of wires and cables; the other products are used as components in equipment such as motors, electrical appliances, and transformers. In addition, bare wires can be used directly in the power, communications, and transportation sectors to transmit electrical energy and information. Bare wires should have good electrical conductivity and physical and mechanical properties.
Bare wires have only conductors, but no insulation and sheath structure.
Bare wires can be divided into bare copper wires, bare aluminum wires, bare aluminum wires, bimetallic wires, etc. according to their materials. According to the shape and structure, it can be divided into: round single wire, bare stranded wire, soft wiring rain and profiled wire, etc.
Product Description:
Aluminum alloy core aluminum stranded wire is a kind of overhead conductor that uses high-strength aluminum alloy wire as a reinforcing core and concentrically twisted with hard aluminum wire.
The aluminum alloy core aluminum stranded wire is lighter than the ordinary steel core aluminum stranded wire of the same outer diameter, and the tensile-to-weight ratio is basically the same, and the load on the tower is small. Because the reinforced core part adopts a high-strength aluminum-magnesium-silicon-aluminum alloy core with 52.5% IACS, the wire resistance is significantly reduced, and the current-carrying capacity is higher than that of ordinary wires.
The aluminum alloy core aluminum stranded wire is a single material of the aluminum matrix, and there is no hysteresis loss during AC operation, so its AC resistance under normal load is more advantageous. In addition, because the aluminum alloy core aluminum stranded wire is a single material of the aluminum matrix, there is no hysteresis loss. The electrochemical corrosion of bimetal has anti-corrosion function.
Application:
Due to its advantages of light weight and large current carrying capacity, aluminum alloy core aluminum stranded wire is generally used as a new line to replace the original steel core aluminum stranded wire, which is called the second-generation wire product.
Executive standard:
IEC61089-1991 round wire concentric stranded overhead conductor
GB/T 1179-2008 Round wire concentric stranded overhead conductor
ASTM B524
Technical characteristics:
The weight is light, and the unit-to-weight ratio of the tensile force is the same as that of the steel-cored aluminum stranded wire. The reinforced core is made of high-strength aluminum alloy wire. The tensile strength is 295MPA-315MPA, the conductivity reaches 52.5% IACS, and the wire pull-to-weight ratio is equivalent to the steel core aluminum stranded wire.
The wire loss is small. All aluminum materials are used to effectively reduce the DC resistance and no hysteresis loss.
Corrosion resistance and long service life. The reinforcing core of the wire is made of high-strength aluminum alloy stranded wire, which has no electrochemical corrosion of bimetal, and the wire with anti-corrosion function has a long service life.
